Whether you’re a carnivore, herbivore or somewhere in-between, it is vital you get your daily recommended amount of protein in. Protein is known as the building blocks of life, and for good reason too! Our hair, skin and muscles are all made up of them. Essentially, they break down into amino acids that help our bodies grow and repair.
We know that no two humans are the same, however, we may need the same amount of protein to function effectively. For adults, it’s recommended that we get around 0.75g of protein per kilogram of bodyweight per day. This means that for your typical man and woman, aged between 19-50, this equates to around 56g and 45g per day, respectively.
